Athena has been a very important part of Signet Poodles and her impact will be felt for many
years to come.  She is the dam of 9 Canadian Champions and 2 American Champions
including several Best Puppy in Specialty Show winners.  Athena's son Hamish (Am/Can Ch.Signet Riverdance) is a Multi Best in Show winner and her daughter Annie (Am.Can. Ch. Signet High Society TP), a top producer herself, has given Athena 4 Best in Show (2 of them Multi BIS winners)
winning grandchildren including two Award of Merit winners at the Poodle Club of Canada
National Specialty show and 1 Award of Merit winner at the prestigious Poodle Club of America
National Specialty show.  Athena now has many champion great grandchildren who are now
making their mark in the show ring!

Athena's kids , grandkids and now great grandkids have excelled in other venues also
including obedience, agility, herding, tracking, search and rescue and therapy/assistance.
She has passed her fun loving, affectionate and outgoing nature on to all of her family.
Always a superb mom, Athena even to this day loves to play with puppies no matter who
they belong to.  At nearly 14 years of age, Athena is still so full of life and fun!

Athena loved the show ring and still enjoys the occasional foray into the ring!  She
was awarded Best Veteran in Specialty show at the 2006 Poodle Club of Canada National
Specialty and the joy she displayed at being back in the ring was obvious to all who cheered
her on!

Athena has been a huge asset to our breeding program here at Signet Poodles as well as
to other breeders through her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Through her
extended family, her legacy will continue to make a positive impact on this wonderful breed.
